I am the CEO of a non-GE food verifier, GE-Free Solutions. I skipper the top J24 sailing team in Western Canada, and do a number of other sports, mostly water-based. I also run a coffee company, Current Coffee.

I became inspired to do something about genetically engineered food during my undergraduate degree in communication from Simon Fraser University. In my final year I took an incredibly inspiring course with Pat Howard. We used Jeffrey Smith’s Genetic Roulette as our text book. I was completely amazed that our government was doing nothing to protect us from something that they clearly know is a serious health risk. I decided to stop eating GE foods, and I quickly realized that is it actually very difficult to do. Hopefully I can help other people learn about the health risks this technology creates, and inspire others to do what they can to make a difference.

This blog is about the dangers of genetically engineered food; current developments either by industry, the government, or activist groups; how to avoid eating GE; and anything else that I feel like sharing with the world.
